Today's port was Sydney, Nova Scotia. We met a couple back in Quebec City who were from Nova Scotia and when we told them that Sydney was one of our stops, they looked puzzled as to why a tour ship would be stopping there because it's just an industrial town with nothing of interest to see.
So we booked a tour that took us out of the town and headed down towards the Bras D'or Lakes. The first stop on this tour was a little village in a place called Iona where they had built an outdoor museum consisting of all the different houses and buildings that the Scots used throughout the centuries.

I love those door mats, I need them (and someone to change it for me every day)
