Montreal..... The Paris of Canada?

I don't know about you, but I have a feeling that Montreal is not a very pretty city. I have this feeling because we've just been driving around it for the past 2 hours.... And can I just say, they are 2 hours that I can't see us getting back.

The tour guide kept telling us about this underground city which we were all fascinated by and couldn't wait to get down there and have a look, you see because of the extreme temperatures they get there, they've built tunnels under the buildings and streets to get around town out of the cold, they have shops and cinemas and banks and pretty much everything you have up on the street and access to all the main buildings and hotels. So when we pulled up at a door, we thought she was going to take us down there, but no, she had some really important dates for us to hear about instead. She did take us to an opening to the tunnels, and said the good bit is in another sector, but I will show you this one. Jen and I weren't the only ones looking at each other wondering why. During the marathon bus tour, she would point things out but not tell you what side of the bus they were on, so at first you were breaking your neck trying to seeing, but eventually we just stared out the window trying to drown her out.

We were prisoners on the never ending bus tour!
