Time For Relaxation

Some people won't understand this, but when you're traveling you can get quite tired and every now and then you need to have a little bit of rest and relaxation.

On our way from Sligo to Galway we stopped of at a little place called Castlebaldwin in County Sligo at a day spa.  The area is famous for its seaweed baths.  When I first read about this I did think to myself "I could probably go up to the Back Beach in Geraldton or any other beach at home for that matter and roll around in seaweed - why would I pay to do it here?" But - this seaweed has magical powers - so we had to try it.  It was stewed in a bath of hot water and oils and whilst we waited for it to brew we popped into the jacuzzi, the sauna and the steam room - just to open the pores up even more to let all the seaweedy goodness into our skin.

It was actually more relaxing than you think it will be and as long as you don't look down - you're ok!

The room we were in looked out onto a fabulous view of a lough (that's Irish for loch) and mountains.
They only have one room - so it's lucky we're such good friends!
