Just up the road a bit from Kingston was the 1000 Islands in Lake Ontario. There are 1831 islands there and a lot are privately owned and have holiday houses on them. There are 2 rules to owning an island. 1. there must be a living tree on the island (at least one) and 2. the island must be able to clear the water 365 days of the year.
These 2 particular islands here are very special because they are owned by the same person, hence the bridge, but the island on the left is in Canada and the island on the right is in USA making that bridge the shortest bridge between 2 countries in the world. It made the Guiness Book of World Records and everything. The border just goes right down the middle of them.
