Hot in the Olympic City Tonight
Talk about bring the weather with you. We've had, besides a couple off drops of rain that I can't even remember, a superb run. Today was blue skies and about 86.4 degrees Celsius. Now the London Olympic organisers were maybe not expecting it to be this gorgeous, and so didn't think they would need much shade. They also were perhaps thinking that nobody would want to sit down during the Olympics, so made all the ground gravel except for a few very small areas of grass that should be manned by guards and only a few people let on there at a time, forcing cues to be made that go further than the eye can see. Then they probably thought that the punters would only want to see the action live and therefore if they were not actually in the stadium that they wouldn't be interested in what's going on, so they would only need 1 or 2 big screens and it's probably best to put them in the grassed area where only a small few can see them. Their ideas were good, sure..... But I think we could have helped them out a bit if they'd only asked us!
