Cill Chainnigh Kats

Hurling is the second game in Ireland, next to soccer, but there are still plenty of people who love this game. They all were the colours and jerseys of their teams and everyone wore lengths of plaited wool in their colours as well. They were everywhere, people selling them, they were wrapped around heads and wrists and legs. Despite the game being so fast I never really knew where the ball was, I was always going to miss the goals because this man in front stood up...... as did the rest of the crowd to be fair, but it was his back that I looked at.
