Conversation with waiter.....
Waiter: Would you like some wine?
Me: Hi, we're trying to choose. We're Australian, so we don't want an Australian or New Zealandish wine, what can you recommend?
Waiter: Well, we have this one and this one (pointing to extremely expensive wines - $155 per bottle) Or you could go for this one, it's half the price, but you get what you pay for right?
After he's gone.......
Jenny: We could just get the house wine, that'll stuff him.
I guess I did make the rookie mistake of asking him for a recommendation. Note to self, Don't ask wait staff for wine recommendations.
